I don’t look to bad in this outfit, you think to yourself as you walk to the dining hall.  It has been decorated with fairy lights, blue and white décor, and dried red Proteas.

“What do you think, kid? I got you something from your country.  My daughter saw them on Pinterest and told me to get them for you.  I like these flowers.” Moorland walks to you and places his hand on one of the proteas at the round table closest to you.

“They remind me of home, but why are they for me?” you ask smiling at Moorland’s pleased expression.

“We’ll I wanted to thank you for being so brave.  You know, people here get upset with me a lot.  But, I really love my job.  I love the people too.  Every now and then I like to show them how thankful I am.  I just don’t always know how to shake off all the politics, you know?”  He’s just happy I stood up to the Craig’s, you think to yourself as he pushes his glasses back into place.

“No, not really, but I appreciate the gesture.  Uh, so, Moorland, where will I be sitting?”  You search the room for a table close to the exits, you’re tired and planning to go back to bed soon.

“Oh, sure, here you’ll be sitting with The Scot and Craig family.”  He points towards a table in the middle of the dining hall.  “Over there.”
